Overlapping dimensions

This painting was inspired by Philip Pullman’s novel, The Subtle Knife, which describes how a person who possesses the knife is able to ‘cut’ the air and create a portal to a new dimension in space-time. The image depicts incisions behind which other worlds can be seen.
